EXPLORING OPPORTUNITIES IN NEW GLOBAL SYSTEMS
This Conference was held: MAY 21-24, 2000

Who We Are

World Development FederationThe World Development Federation (WDF) is an international federation of individuals and organizations involved in large-scale development projects. WDF Chairman McKinley Conway founded the science of geo-economics and has been a leader in economic development circles for more than 40 years. A staff member of NACA/NASA for seven years, Mr. Conway's aeronautical and scientific research credentials combined with his active aviation skills and interest in government (two terms as Georgia State Senator) led him to his role as a global strategist. Internationally acclaimed as a futurist, he lends his passion and ideas to WDF programs and conferences.

quoteMany urban areas offer a high quality of life. They earn high marks when measured by the usual economic and social indicators. Yet, some cities rise above the others, achieving distinction on a higher plane ... These unique "supercities" attract and hold wealth ... quote

-- McKinley Conway from The Great Cities of the Future
The Futurist magazine, June-July 1999

Georgia state capital, AtlantaWDF's goal is to improve global quality of life through the implementation of "super projects" -- billion-dollar projects that enhance the environment, create global linkages and contribute to effective economic development. WDF supports team-building, education and information exchange for people involved in super projects. The organization does not finance, endorse or participate in individual projects.

In pursuit of its objectives, WDF organizes the Global Super Projects Conference (GSPC). Previous sites include Madrid (1999), Paris (1997), San Francisco (1996), Osaka (1995), Barcelona (1994), Singapore (1993) and Honolulu (1992).

WDF's Global Super Projects Conference brings together super project developers, planners, service providers and leading experts in international development. Through the general sessions and industry specific workshops, delegates network and learn about the latest ideas and innovative solutions being employed in the development of global super projects.
